we wind clocks
turning keys of metal

and accord

in living cradles
time slows
time speeds
and sometimes
breaks down
or runs out of gas
too, at that.
Don't matter
how much one shifts
if the clock
won't run.

Exploring
time
is pretty simple--
one sits,
and does nothing.
Watch it quickly slow
and turn into pet rocks
