Growing, always growing
with punctuated pulsating change
like the solar rays in 11 years
The ocean too waxes and wanes
with the moon, and the rains
come in waves thundering through

Cycles of time & space
meter change & grace
in all invention
even steadfast trees
sheltering, have cycles
drawing sap or shedding leaves
even growing seeds
nothing is as steadfast as it seems
or quite as lazy as it pleases

Renewable inspiration
as these cycles transpire
reducing, reusing, recycling habits
till something is found
that feeds the ground one grows
like a tree and its leaves
and the critters that feed below

lending strength
