Smaller supplies are divided
as populations grow
to toss and throw
broken things
in need of repair
or recycling

we eat and drink
resources of the Earth
as dinner
eating mountains
and forests
and fields
taming wilder sides
of domestic life

reducing, reusing, recycling
tames our consumption
so we can afford the dogfood,
long walks on the beach,
and poking dead things with a stick

everything one needs
is but a dancing dream
in the beginning of creation
we do learn as we go
but do so in changing dreams
